Kelly Rooks
Kelly Rooks is the Neurodiversity lead and Coach at Northumbria Police, driving their Neurodiversity strategy to support employees and members of the community in which they serve.
She has extensive experience in developing and delivering training to increase awareness around Neurodiverse conditions and has implemented a suite of internal resources and support pathways to upskill and empower line managers, colleagues, and the individual to have open and positive conversations.
She works tirelessly to break the stigma around difference and create a culture that embraces individual strengths and enables people to thrive in their uniqueness.
Kelly’s goal is for communities and Police Forces to be inclusive where everyone feels supported, valued, and has a sense of belonging.
Kelly has won numerous awards for her approach in changing the culture and landscape of Northumbria Police. Most recently, Northumbria Police were awarded the most supportive employer at the Dyslexia Awards 2022 in relation to Neuro-inclusion.
